At the time I contacted Julie, things were not going well for me for some time. I felt depressed and anxious, had dark thoughts. I couldn’t find my bearings at home or at work.I felt drained both mentally and physically. I was overworked and no longer a positive person.
My sister is a clinical psychologist. She advised me to contact Julie to start a possible coaching program. She was convinced that the search for my Ikigai would be a step in the right direction. I went to her website to find out more, and by reading her intro and other people’s experiences, I realized that I was in the right place.
I sent an email to the Happy Mind Guide with my request for help and Julie contacted me real quick for an intake interview.
Julie is a very calm and balanced person, she made me feel at ease very quickly. During each coaching session I often felt like I was experiencing the search for my Ikigai together with a good friend. She observes and listens attentively, she gave me enough space to be myself and relax. She responds to the needs of the other and coaches in a tailored way.
During the process I came across my strengths and weaknesses. When I started the program, I had absolutely no idea what my strengths and talents were or where I would end up. I had little self-confidence and always felt ‘not good enough’.
Now at the end of the program, I know where my talents lie and what path I want to take to get to my destination. I am in no rush and do it at my own pace, because that is okay.
Every day I feel more and more connected to my true self and work every day on who I want to become. Julie brought me to insights by giving me that little push I needed. She also made me quietly let go of that urge for perfectionism. I now see that the bar does not always have to be too high.
By creating achievable goals and following my own pace, Julie has helped me bring back peace and balance in my life. By sharing my own experiences in this, I wish to do the same for others.
